BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

Your booking is with Menlove By Faiseur Limited. 'Menlove' and 'Faiseur' are Trading Names of Menlove by Faiseur Limited.

A 30% deposit is required to secure a property. Upon receipt of this, we will confirm your booking and issue a full invoice. The balance is due 28 days prior to the first day of your reservation. Where the booking is made less than 28 days ahead the full amount will be required to secure your booking.

If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to retain your deposit and cancel your accommodation.

At the time of booking, we may, in our discretion, ask for a security deposit to cover such things as damage, lost keys, extra cleaning etc. We will also ask you for your preferred method by which this should be returned to you after you have vacated the property. Presuming that the property has been left in a similar condition to that in which it was found, and assuming it is not therefore necessary to make any deductions from the deposit this will be returned to you in full within 7 days of your departure via your chosen method.

Upon receipt of the full amount, we will send you final details, including directions to the property. If you return your booking form by email, it is understood that you have read and accepted these conditions of booking without a signature. The contract formed by the acceptance of these booking conditions is governed by English Law. The terms of the contract that you enter into will not be filed electronically and made available to you so we suggest that you print out a copy of these terms and any confirmation of your order for your records.

NUMBER OF GUESTS
The house sleeps a maximum of 8 guests. Larger groups may be accommodated by prior arrangement. Your booking confirmation will state for how many guests you have booked, and the number of guests checking in must not exceed this number or regrettably our representative will not grant access.

The person/s making the booking and all the authorised persons occupying the property are individually and jointly responsible for adhering to these booking conditions.

MINORS
We cannot accept bookings from anyone under 21 years of age, although accompanied minors are very welcome as guests as part of a family booking. We do not accept bookings from youth or student groups.

STAG/HEN PARTIES

We cannot accept bookings for stag or hen parties, or similar.

PAYMENT DETAILS
All prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling (£). Your booking confirmation will outline the price you are paying, for how long and for how many people.

  • Cash (last minute bookings only), payable on arrival in Pounds Sterling (£)

CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENTS
If you wish to cancel a reservation please contact us and confirm the cancellation in writing, via email or letter as soon as possible. If you do not cancel your reservation within the terms of the cancellation policy you may regrettably have to pay a cancellation charge as outlined below.

Please note that in the unfortunate event of your having to cancel, we will immediately readvertise the house as available. If we are able to secure a subsequent reservation covering the same dates we will refund your entire payment, keeping only a £50 administration fee.

We will try to accommodate any requests for amendments, subject to availability. If you would like to extend your stay, please let us know as soon as possible.

CANCELLATION OR CHANGE BY US
We accept no liability for cancellations that are a result of ‘force majeure’ – these are events which could not have been avoided even with all due care (e.g. natural disasters, terrorist actions, war, industrial dispute, water shortage, fire, adverse weather conditions, etc.). We reserve the right to cancel your booking if full payment has not been received 28 days prior to the first day of your reservation and we shall retain the deposit.

Excepting “force majeure” in the unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible and refund your deposit and any other sum that you have paid to Faiseur.

For insurance purposes, at the time of booking we will require full contact details for the lead guest (Name, Address and Contact Telephone number). Under no circumstance will access be granted where the details have not been supplied. Refusal to supply adequate contact details may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of any monies paid.

CONTACT DURING YOUR STAY
Our representative will meet you at the house to check you in; full contact details will be sent with your booking confirmation. He or she will be able to deal with any queries you may have and discuss any additional services you may require. In the event of any problem during your stay please contact them as soon as possible.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Normal check in times are between 3pm and 6pm. Should you require an earlier or later check in please advise us with as much notice as possible and we will do our best to accommodate.

Check out is by 11am on the date of your departure. Subject to the timing of the arrival of the next guests, late check out may be possible, but only with prior arrangement. This may be subject to an additional charge.

In the event of a guest remaining in the property after the agreed check out time, a charge equal to a full day’s stay at the contract rate will be made. This may be deducted from the security deposit.

INSPECTION
On your arrival, our representative will show you round the house and ask you to check the inventory. The property will be inspected again on departure and on confirmation that there has not been any damage to the property and that all items listed in the inventory are complete, your security deposit will be returned as described previously.

In the event of any damage to the house or its contents a deduction will be made from the security deposit to cover the cost of repair or replacement. The balance of the deposit will then be returned to the guest. We will notify you of the value of any deductions and the reasons for them within 7 days of the date of departure.

GUEST CONDUCT
We expect that our guests will behave in a civilised and responsible manner, and to respect their neighbours.

Smoking within the house is not permitted. If you, or your party, use the outside grounds to smoke, you undertake to take great care, especially over the use of naked flames and extinguishing cigarette/cigar stubs.

No illegal substances, e.g. illegal drugs, are permitted in the house or its grounds.

Pets may be allowed by prior arrangement, please contact us for details if you would like to bring a pet.

Your security deposit will be witheld should we be in receipt of any complaints of annoyance or nuisance during the period of your stay or if any of the above conditions are breached. We reserve the right to eject any guest in breach of these conditions at any time without refund.

HOLIDAY/TRAVEL INSURANCE
Faiseur does not offer personal travel insurance. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate insurance to cover all aspects of your stay.

SAFETY
We guarantee that where an appliance requires certification by law, this will be in place. Copies of the relevant certificates will be available for inspection at the house.

COMPLAINTS
If you have a problem during your stay, please inform our representative as soon as possible and we will try to fix it. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, please write to us at our registered office giving as much detail as possible. We will then investigate and respond in writing. Please note that if the complaint has not been made to our representative at the time of your stay it may be difficult for us to investigate it fully. This could affect your rights under this contract.

DATA PROTECTION POLICY
The information you provide to us will be used to efficiently manage your booking and your stay. We take your privacy and security very seriously and will ensure that adequate measures are in place to keep your information safe. We will only share your information with those parties directly involved with your stay. The information could also be shared with any public authorities such as the police or immigration as required by law.

You are entitled to a copy of the information we hold about you, if you would like us to send it to you, please contact us.

Occasionally, we may like to send you details of things that we think may be of interest to you. If you would prefer us not to do this, please let us know.

TENURE
Guests acknowledge that the booking does not constitute a lease, and that the guest has no entitlement to any security of tenure beyond the term
